Status: Part time, Independent Contractor. 2-3 days per week. 1 Saturday per month required.
Salary: Percent Production (% varies with experience), no base rate.
Position Description:
We are a rapidly growing Dental Practice looking to hire an Associate Dentist to join our team. The Associate Dentist will be responsible to perform routine and complex dental procedures on patients according to their oral health needs and cosmetic concerns.
We participate with most PPO plans (NO DMO).
Associate Dentist Responsibilities:
Examining patients' teeth and gums to diagnose and treat various oral health issues.
Utilizing X-rays and computer-generated imaging to assist with examinations.
Providing dental treatments to patients, including routine cleanings, extractions, dental fillings, cavity and tooth decay treatments, teeth whitening, bonding, and applications of dental crowns, caps, and veneers.
Administering local anesthesia to patients as needed.
Educating patients on good oral hygiene practices and advising them on proper aftercare following certain dental procedures.
Performing oral cancer screenings.
Prescribing antibiotics and pain medications to patients as required.
Ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are sterilized before each use.
Taking impressions of patients’ mouths for the fabrication of customized night guards and dentures.
Our office is currently open 5 days a week and one Saturday a month. We have an in-house Oral Surgeon who performs minor oral surgery and places implants. In addition to this, we are adding an in-house Endodontist for our more complex root canal cases. Most procedures are done in house except the more intricate cases, which are referred out to specialists.
This position will allow the opportunity to do the full spectrum of restorative and cosmetic dentistry, anterior and molar endo, surgical extractions, dental implants (including overdentures) and Invisalign.
Associate Dentist Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).
- State license to practice dentistry.
- CPR certification.
- Proven experience working in a dental practice.
- The ability to use various dental instruments and equipment.
- The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- The ability to work in a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Helpful and polite.
Pay will be based on a percentage of the collections. This can be discussed in further detail at the time of the interview.
