Job Overview:
Pleasant Beach Village is seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing both residential and commercial properties, with a strong focus on quality work and attention to detail. This role is key in ensuring our resort facilities are in excellent working condition, creating a safe and comfortable environment for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine and emergency maintenance on resort buildings and facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
- Guest & Tenant Service: Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff promptly and professionally, addressing issues such as minor repairs, appliance malfunctions, and facility concerns.
- Preventive Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the property, including apartments, common areas, and equipment, to ensure everything is functioning properly and to prevent future issues.
- Routine Maintenance Tasks: Handle general maintenance tasks, including cleaning and servicing HVAC units, replacing filters, inspecting plumbing systems, and maintaining mechanical systems.
- Construction & Repair Work: Assist with minor construction projects, drywall repairs, painting, patching, and other facility improvements as needed.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines for all maintenance tasks to ensure the property remains safe for guests, staff, and residents. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with management, and other staff to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for all guests and tenants.
- Inventory Management: Track and maintain supplies and equipment needed for regular maintenance tasks, ensuring inventory levels are appropriate and replenished as needed.
- Emergency Repairs: Be available for emergency maintenance needs, providing quick resolutions to urgent issues affecting guest comfort or safety.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Maintenance Technician, Handyman, or in a similar role, ideally within apartment complexes, resorts, or commercial properties.
- Knowledge of maintenance tasks including electrical systems, plumbing, drywall repair, and carpentry.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, when requested.
