School Nurse

Full-time school nurse position available for Pleasant Grove Independent School District. Requirements include a registered nurse license and registration with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.

Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to guidelines set by the Texas Education Agency, local school board, and Superintendent.
2. Maintain current knowledge and skills relevant to the position.
3. Supervise nurse aides at high school and elementary campuses based on health care needs.
4. Keep accurate health records for the district.
5. Procure necessary health care materials, equipment, and resources.
6. Administer screenings as required.
7. Dispense medication according to school policy.
8. Support health and science teachers as a resource person.
9. Cultivate effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
10. Preserve confidentiality of instructional personnel and administration.
11. Participate in staff development and professional duties.
12. Perform assigned tasks cooperatively.
