The Personal Care Assistant will provide high-quality care and support to patients in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with mealtime and provide nutritional support as needed.
- Engage in activities that promote patient comfort, such as reading, watching TV, or playing games.
- Provide physical assistance with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Document patient care and progress.
Skills
- Ability to provide personal care and support to patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic life support certification or willingness to obtain.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
