Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team at Pleasant Lake Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reconciling medications, taking vitals, EKGs, audiometries, etc. This CMA will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting our clinical and administrative team, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about delivering patient.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and assisting with procedures.
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients, including preparing patients for exams and assisting with injections.
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Support the clinic team with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
- Assist with geriatric patient care, including developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly cleaned and maintained.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
- Strong understanding of patient care and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work in an outpatient clinic setting and adapt to changing patient needs.
Experience:
EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
