Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our landscaping team. The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a demonstrated history of experience in irrigation, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Install new irrigation systems, including laying pipes, installing valves, and setting up controllers according to design plans and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on existing irrigation systems, including inspecting, adjusting, and repairing sprinkler heads, valves, and controllers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with irrigation systems, such as leaks, clogs, and electrical malfunctions, and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct system audits and assessments to ensure optimal performance and water efficiency.
  • Adjust irrigation schedules and settings to accommodate seasonal changes and specific landscape needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, materials used, and any system modifications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain work performed, provide recommendations, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling and storage of chemicals and equipment.
  • Assist with other landscaping tasks as needed, including planting, mulching, and general grounds maintenance.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year(s) of experience in irrigation installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and best practices, including drip irrigation, sprinkler systems, valves, and controllers.
  • Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using irrigation tools and equipment, including trenchers, pipe cutters, and diagnostic devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor as needed.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to accommodate client schedules or emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour


Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
