Job Description
Job Title : CNA (Certified Nurse Aide)
Job Specialty : Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Job Duration : 15 weeks
Shift : 8-hour Evenings, 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM, Every Other Weekend
Guaranteed Hours : 37.5 hours per week
Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience
License : CNA license
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have : Prior experience with PointClickCare (PCC) charting system
Job Description :
- Perform vital signs monitoring
- Pass meal trays and assist in the dining room, including feeding assistance and monitoring
- Assist with input / output monitoring, turning, bathing, changing linens, and tidying resident rooms
- Provide all other Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assistance as needed
- Conduct activity, behavior, and toileting charting
- Assist with oxygen therapy as needed
- Participate in rounding and shift reporting
- Help with restorative needs, following restorative care plans, such as walking, using adaptive equipment, and splinting
- Attend and assist residents at appointments as necessary
- Work with interdisciplinary teams including PT / OT / SLP, case managers, social workers, and dieticians
- Use CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen therapy equipment
- Adhere to shifts and scheduling guidelines, including an unpaid 30-minute lunch break
- Work every other weekend and potentially more if desired
- Participate in holiday scheduling as required
- No call or standby requirement; scheduled shifts are fixed
- Maintain flexibility to float to various areas as needed
- Wear clean, professional scrubs in any color except camouflage
- Attend a 3-day unit / department specific orientation
