Job Summary
Working in the kitchen of a personal care home. Meals are preplanned and prepared, cooking for 40-55 residents
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Follow all food safety and handling guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service and hospitality, is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
