Job Summary
We are hiring Personal care aides for all three shifts, every other weekend off, and schedule flexibility, including optional hours worked between 4–16-hour shifts. We offer on-the-job training, CPR classes, and med tech training for career advancement and a pay raise opportunity. You would be responsible for working with the team to provide the residents with care ranging from dressing and bathing to assistance getting in and out of bed, helping with all aspects of their daily life. You need to be comfortable working with the elderly, you need to have compassion, and a willingness to work.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Support clients with mobility assistance, including lifting or transferring as needed.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients at all times.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving or home community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with the needs of residents in retirement homes or long-term care facilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Capability to assist with physical tasks, including lifting and mobility support.
- Basic understanding of social work principles as they apply to caregiving scenarios.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others lead fulfilling lives.
