Counter Person

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation at the counter. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a knack for engaging with customers, making them feel welcome while efficiently handling their orders.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Operate the cash register, handling transactions with precision.
• Assist in food preparation and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
• Buss tables and ensure the dining area is tidy for incoming customers.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Perform basic math calculations for order totals and change.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant, grocery store, or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
• Experience in food preparation and knowledge of kitchen operations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and staff.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
