What are the responsibilities and job description for the Short and Long-Haul Tractor-Trailer Drivers position at Pleasant River Lumber Co.?
Safety Responsibilities
- Following all DOT rules
- Follow all federal/state laws
- Proper use of PPE for the task
- Operator and inspect truck and trailer in a safe manner
- Follow all company policies and procedures
Equipment/Production Responsibilities
- Operate one of our late model tractor trailers safety and efficiently
- Move mill Residuals (Chips, Bark and Sawdust) to Customer
- Represent the company in a professional Manner
- Have the ability to adapt to schedule changes
- Be versatile and willing to haul different trailers/products when need
- Some basic computer systems experience, training provided
- Be able to work with a growing team
- Communicate any maintenance/safety issues to the Chaffee office
Paperwork Responsibilities
- Valid CDL License
- Safe driving record and history
- Pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals
- Pass Company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test (physical essential functions)
- Complete By-Products Bill-of -Lading, tickets
- Reporting mileage/gas receipts
- Report to the Chaffee Manager
