About the Job
The Student Experience Leader is the mastermind behind both the creative and operational magic of PV’s student ministry. If you’re passionate about working with middle and high school students, have a knack for tech and organization, and know how to engage students in both digital and in-person spaces, this is your moment to shine!
What You’ll Be Doing (aka The Fun Stuff)
Environments and Events
- Be the behind-the-scenes (and sometimes in-the-spotlight) hero for all things student ministry! From weekly gatherings to special events, you’ll handle the details and make sure everything runs like clockwork.
- Work with other teams (because teamwork makes the dream work) to coordinate events that make students say “Wow!” and “I can’t wait to come back!”
- Organize and manage large-scale events—everything from transportation to teardown (don't worry, you’ll have help!).
- Keep an eye on budgets (yes, fun does have a budget) and make sure we’re good stewards of our resources.
- Occasionally grab the mic and get on stage as a host or teacher. No stage fright allowed!
- Craft biblical content and messaging to invite students to explore next steps with Jesus.
Media and Merch
- Oversee our social media like a boss. You’ll make sure our content is not only on point but also something students want to engage with.
- Help us break new digital ground by creating fresh content on platforms we aren’t using yet (TikTok pro? You’re up!).
- Run the student merch game—design, display, and sell gear that students actually want to wear, with the help of local artists.
Leadership and Team Building
- Be the leader who recruits and trains adult and student leaders to create a top-notch welcoming process for students (we’re talking world-class welcome vibes here).
- Work with staff and volunteers to execute those awesome events you’ve planned.
- Collaborate with the student ministry staff to make sure everything we do aligns with the big vision of the ministry.

- You love working with students and helping them grow in their faith.
- You’re a people person with excellent communication skills (both one-on-one and in front of a crowd).
- You have mad organizational skills and can juggle multiple projects at once—no sweat.
- You know your way around social media and Google Suite like a pro.
- You’ve got creativity for days and love solving problems on the fly.
- You can build, lead, and manage teams that get things done.

- You’re a member of Pleasant Valley and committed to our statement of faith.
- You’ve graduated from high school.
- You’ve graduated from college preferably.
- You’ve planned events, managed social media, or even dabbled in graphic design.
- You’ve got some experience speaking to groups of all sizes—whether it’s students or adults.
