About the Job
As the Student Worship Leader, you’ll craft powerful, Spirit-led worship experiences that help middle and high school students connect with God. Think of it as setting the stage—literally and spiritually—for students to encounter Jesus. If you’ve got the voice of an angel, some serious instrumental chops, a love for AV tech, and a passion for leading young hearts in worship, this role was made for you!
What You’ll Be Doing (aka The Fun Stuff)
- Plan and Lead Worship: You’ll plan all worship programming for middle and high school students, skillfully leading worship that’s dynamic, engaging, and full of heart.
- Tech Savvy Pro: From lights to sound to video, you’ll oversee the tech that makes it all happen. Production is your middle name (okay, maybe not literally).
- Weekly Worship Prep: Schedule teams, select and prepare setlists, and get everyone ready to roll with rehearsals, team devotionals, and service planning. Bonus points if you’re the one bringing snacks!
- Mentor and Coach: Audition, develop, and train students and volunteers to grow their skills—whether they’re on stage or behind the scenes.
- Create Inspiring Environments: Make worship spaces that students can’t wait to step into. Think cool, think engaging, think unforgettable.
- Stay Connected: Communicate like a champ with Student Ministry staff, parents, and students on the creative arts team. (Pro tip: GIFs in emails = instant cool points.)
