Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to oversee nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care within our facility. The Charge Nurse will play a critical role in managing nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and serving as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing compassionate care, particularly in geriatrics and other specialized areas.
Duties
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure adherence to best practices and protocols.
- Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' vital signs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and safety regulations.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and interventions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of geriatrics, anatomy, infection control practices, and vital sign assessment is essential.
- Experience in critical care settings such as ICU or ER is a plus.
- Familiarity with Level I Trauma Center protocols is advantageous.
- Travel nursing experience may be beneficial for flexibility in staffing needs.

Pay: $25.00 - $25.50 per hour
