Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-centered English Teacher to join our Middle and High School faculty. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching English at various secondary levels, including Advanced Placement (AP) English Language and/or Literature.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in English Language Arts for middle and high school students
- Prepare students for success in AP English Language and/or AP English Literature
- Develop and assess a variety of instructional materials and assignments that challenge students to think critically
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth
- Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and parents to support student learning
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid teaching certification ( Prefered)
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, with proven success in teaching AP-level courses
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
