Job Title: Roving Security Officer

• Job Description

We are currently seeking Certified Security Officers for gated, non-gated communities & commercial properties for the protection of its residents and guests. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior, preventing vandalism, thefts and or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be able to observe all aspects of patrol and report any and all concerns by completing a comprehensive detailed report through their assigned shifts. The Security Officer must be able to deescalate incidents while communicating with residents and or guests. This candidate will be able to provide a high level of courtesy in customer service, while maintaining a presence of authority.

• Responsibilities

· Perform access control at the main entrance gate into community

· Patrol property regularly to maintain order and establish presence

· Monitor and authorize vehicles or people onto the property

· Remove all violators and trespassers from the property

· Secure all areas of security at the end of shift

· Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful behavior

· Investigate and document all suspicious activities

· Provide assistance whenever needed to clients

· Apprehend and detain offenders only as a last resort. Remember to OBSERVE & REPORT according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities

· Submit all daily observations, incident and pass along reports prior to the completion of shift

• Skills

· Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as security officer or guard

• Law enforcement and military experience preferred

· Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Have excellent customer service skills

· Familiarity with Incident Report Writing, Daily observation reports and Daily Pass Along reports.

· Excellent surveillance and observation skills

· knowledge and experience in the use of surveillance systems

· Certified in First Aid/ CPR

· Possess a current Florida security officer D-License

· High School diploma or greater required

PPE will be provided in accordance with CDC Guidelines.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: $17.00 per hour.
