  • JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Responsible for coordinating staffing duties, maintaining, and keeping current records and logbooks.
    • Provides supervision and guidance to the DSPs in their work assisting residents of Pledge Residential Care

    • RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

    • Abides by all job duties with agency’s mission, vision, and policies
    • Respond to emails and maintain a strong communication with staff, management team and residents’ team,
    • Reviews and updates resident Clinical Books
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations including MaineCare, Licensing and HCBS.
    • Advocate for residents' needs during the authorization process and throughout placement
    • Addressing any obstacles that may arise.
    • Monitoring all staff documentation for accuracy and completeness
    • Participating in the PCP process throughout the year as well as completion of annual paperwork including releases, consents, and
    • lease agreements.

    • Collaborates with individuals, family members, and State of Maine representatives to create and provides support for the
    • implementation of Behavior Management Plan and or Person-Centered Plan.

    • Providing training to staff as needed to ensure the practice runs smoothly,
    • Provide supervision to House managers and direct support professionals
    • Responsible for overseeing and making sure that client medical appointments are correctly scheduled and are completed as
    • scheduled,

    • Assure transportation is provided for residents to attend appointments, shopping and community programming or events,

    • Assures individuals are assisted with personal care including tooth-brushing, toileting, bathing, clothing, and / or feeding.
    • Assures that staff performs housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, shopping, laundry, washing dishes, and mopping.
    • Ensure all client’s medications are filled and refilled according to the client’s medical prescriber
    • Ensure all documentation is completed to reflect client’s outcomes accurately and in a timely fashion.
    • Responsible for training new DSPs assigned to his / her residential program
    • Responsible for assuring completion of medication administration and adhere to the policies and procedures regarding medication
    • administration

    • Abides by ethics of confidentiality
    • Manager and on-call coordinator when requested
    • JOB CONDITIONS

      Program Managers work in a changing environment that adjusts to the needs of the individuals in program services. The environment may be fast paced with interruptions, distractions and deadlines. PMs need to be flexible and be able to adjust to changing needs or activities. Depending on the needs of the individuals, the work can be physically demanding including transferring or supporting people with mobility needs, lifting, or moving items up to 50 lbs.; walking or standing for extended periods of time or providing support through CPR / First Aid, behavioral support, and other interventions. PMs must have an insured vehicle in good working order to utilize for transportation required for staff and program participants to and from community activities.

      REQUIRED TRAININGS

      New Employee Orientation, Intro to Developmental Disabilities, CPR / First Aid, Positive Behavior Supports, Medication Administration, Abuse, Neglect & Exploitation, Blood Borne Pathogens, Person-Centered Planning, HIPAA / Privacy & Confidentiality, and any other assigned trainings.

      QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors Degree in Social Work or Related Field
    • At least a minimum of 2 years experience in the field of Human Services (education qualification can replace experience)
    • Ability to pass criminal / registry background checks
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license & an insured and registered vehicle
    • Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing.
    • Knowledge in use of Microsoft products, proficient in computer skills

    Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
