Job Description: Scientist Immune-Oncology
We seek an enthusiastic, driven and creative scientist capable of solving the challenges associated with drug discovery. The successful candidate will work with an international and multidisciplinary team of scientists engaging different research arms of the company including protein production, assay development and cellular biology for drug screening. Exposure to drug discovery and cell-based oncology/immunology assays will be preferred.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, superior technical skills, and exemplary attention to detail. This position will have the opportunity to become part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary R&D team and make significant scientific contributions to numerous drug discovery projects. There will be substantial opportunities to grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to investigate the effect of small molecules and biologics on function of T and NK cell
- Develop a research strategy with guidance from the team leader, propose strategic vision and program goals
- Establish and execute variety of biochemical/cell-based immunological in vitro assays
- Independently analyze, interpret, and present data at internal meetings
- Maintain experimental records in electronic notebook
- Review literature and propose new experimental strategies/approaches
- Collaborates cross-functionally with other team members to ensure that daily operations and timelines are met.
- Participate in the mentoring and training of junior team members
Education and Experience:
- PhD with 0-5 years of relevant experience in immuno-oncology or immunology in laboratory research settings
- Expertise in T and NK cell killing experiments
- Extensive hands-on experiences with multi-color FACS (12 ), ELISA, western blot and cell-based assays to analyze immune cells in BSL2 laboratory
- Proficiency in GraphPad and Flow Jo
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication and time management skills
- Able to work in a team and willing to present data to our international partners
- Fluent in English
