Position Purpose and Objectives:

Maintains IT environment by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring network performance, managing physical and virtual servers, and securing environment from internal and external threats. Assist teams in supporting existing network technologies and help provide recommendations for the enterprise when reviewing new solutions for various business units. This may be offered independently or as a contribution to other groups or team projects. The candidate will be responsible for completing project tasks and preparing documentation including support processes and operating procedures. This position will also function as an internal consultant and resource to others as it relates to the IT environment. This person will also be responsible for all mobile technologies, office IT hardware, office phone system, printers, copiers, etc.


Essential Job Functions:

·        PC troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration Windows 10 & 11 OS, Windows Server 2016 & 2022, iOS, Linux, VMware, etc.

·        Maintain, update, and troubleshoot internal network including switches, firewalls, routers, and access points.

·        Mentor and train employees on the use of Information Technology to help them become more efficient.

·        Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems.

·        Administer system backups and recoveries.

·        Install software as requested.

·        Participate in the researching of network / server hardware and software.

·        Recommend system improvements to CFO and Management team.

·        Ensure that SOP and system documentation is up to date.

·        Monitor and ensure camera system is functional and maximize uptime.

·        Provide administrative direction and support for daily operation.

·        Work closely with other areas to identity, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost effective technology solutions.

·        Define, recommend, and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

·        Setup and support desk phones and voicemail.

·        Troubleshoot and administer MFA

·        Respond to system failures and work with vendors to resolve issues related to hardware and software failures.

·        Maintain VOIP phone system including configuration changes and software patching.

·        Oversee and maintain company’s cellular devices.

·        Provides after hours support for planned maintenance, performs on-call emergency support services and patching when required.

·        Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation policies, and maintaining documentation.

·        Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses.

·        Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, or other avenues of continuing education.

·        Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential and implementing security policies.

·        Schedules and executes equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and network changes with minimal end user disruption.

·        Maintains maintenance contract information for all related IT technologies and manages operational relationship with vendors.

·        May volunteer or be selected to serve on special committees, work groups, project teams, or escalation teams related to various firm wide technology initiatives. Initiatives may be specific one-time events (e.g., research, testing, rollouts, upgrades, installations) or ongoing activities.

·        Perform monthly updates on servers and other IT equipment as needed.

·        Ability to work on PCs, mobile phones, tablets, etc. and communicate with users with various technology skill levels.

·        Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly.

·        Must be able to take direction and work well with others.

·        Must be able to work under stress of deadlines.


Additional Duties:

·        Business Continuity plan owner for IT.

·        Mange offsite partner relationships.

·        Work in field & with field personnel to implement field solutions.

·        On and off-site server capacity and performance monitoring.

·        Monitor and maintain bandwidth for phone and internet.

·        Maintain and monitor UPS units.

·        Maintain and monitor printers, copiers, faxes, scanners, and any vendor relationships pertaining to them.

·        Building security system (cameras, software, etc.).

·        Satellite office(s), intra-office, and inter-office equipment.

·        Website support.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

·        Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

·        Ability to work with a wide variety of customer types.

·        Work and interact with external resources including contractors, vendors, and manufacturers.

·        Work independently and as part of a team to solve complex problems with creative solutions.

·        Various Windows OS administration and troubleshooting skills.

·        Server and Desktop hardware troubleshooting and support skills.

·        Microsoft Office 365 administration.

·        Data backup and recovery.

·        Network firewalls, routers, and switches. (Meraki)

·        Apple products support and administration.

·        Organize and resolve technical issues in a timely manner is required.

·        Continually work with minimal supervision.

·        Exercise independent judgement and decision making.

·        Network performance tuning, network design and implementation, strategic planning, quality focus, coordination, quick study, and technical understanding.


Minimum Professional Job Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience. Minimum five (5) years of experience as an IT administrator.

·        Excellent time management skills

·        Balance multiple priorities.

·        Strong customer service and communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing.

·        Be able to self-start, correctly prioritize issues, and find solutions to problems in unfamiliar situations with little or no assistance.

·        Valid driver’s license.


Working Conditions:

·        Walking, climbing, standing, lifting, and crawling up, over, and under. Long periods of sitting, stairs, and ladders possible. Exposure to jobsite conditions, including weather. Expected to travel to vendors and jobsites at times. Possible travel for extended training, with possibility of flying.

·        Must be able to make decisions quickly & decisively in the best interest of the company.

·        Extensive computer work in front of a screen.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
