Job Purpose
The role is extremely important where you will become a key member of the operations team, actively involved in managing import and export shipments from start to finish. You will be responsible for arranging air shipments. You will be hands on with every aspect of the forwarding process, ensuring the customer receives the highest level of service, and that they receive their goods safely and on-time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Working to strict deadlines to co-ordinate Worldwide multimodal imports & exports with end to end responsibility
· Managing commercial terms of freight, arrival confirmation and pre-alert details
· Responsible for customer service internally, bookings, documentation, and execution of routing for assigned shipments.
· Verify that shipments are being processed through customs for both import and export cargos.
· Responsible for scheduling pick-ups and deliveries when necessary
· Assists with the day-to-day operations of the import and export departments.
· Responsible for communicating information and instructions to and from vendors.
· Trace shipments through transit points up to final destination and advise customer.
· Responsible to co-ordination and communication with various parties (including customers, overseas agents, etc.).
· Strong customer relationships to understand requirements and always deliver excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 Years’ Experience within Freight Forwarding co
Advanced English (reading, writing and conversation)
Experience with both import and export freight forwarding
Must be Enthusiastic, Ambitious, Self-Motivated & Looking To Develop & Progress
Must Have Experience Handling All Aspects Of Air Import/Export Operations, Back To Back Shipments, Consols, DG Shipments ETC
Full Air Export or Import Process - Start To Finish Air Export/Import Operations
Experience in a customer service environment
High School education required
Working knowledge of Transportation Management Software (Magaya) is an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.
