HOW YOU WILL DO IT
Purpose Statement: Responsible for a variety of cost and financial activities for a manufacturing site. Includes but not limited to product costing, site cost model maintenance and improvement, preparation and analysis of customer and focus factory P&L's and special projects as assigned.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Prepare various financial statements and schedules as part of owning material costs for a specified group of site customers.
- Analyze parts margin and purchase price variance (PPV) to ensure estimates match production activity.
- Reconcile customer deposits and customer consigned inventory with production activity on a monthly basis.
- Review scrap, tooling, tariffs, and non-recurring expenses with manufacturing teams to drive improvement, and possible customer/supplier reimbursement.
- Cost products and support quoting process.
- Review and approve purchase orders; issue adjustments for shipping errors and inventory corrections.
- Support month-end close, including the preparation of journal entries.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, accuracy, timeliness, and teamwork.
- Gather financial and non-financial data for preparation of internal financial reporting.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- One (1) or more years of related experience is required; Two (2) or more years of related experience is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is beneficial for a senior level position.
- Employee must successfully complete all internal training courses offered by the company necessary to fulfill this position.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
Other Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Excel is required.
- Experience with or expertise in financial systems is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proactive problem solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Basic understand of cost accounting principles.
Physical Requirements:
- Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
