The Safety Specialist is responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing safety and health elements within the Eramet Marietta facility. This person will assist the Safety Manager to ensure the plant’s compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations, as well as Eramet Corporate safety guidelines, by the implementation of safety programs and policies which are designed to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the employees of Eramet Marietta, Inc.
This position covers all aspects of safety and worker’s compensation at the Eramet Marietta plant. The person in this position will work closely with Eramet plant management, employees, contractors as well as Federal and State agencies to ensure a safe work environment. They will explain, educate, and train all levels of the organization on safety related topics.
Responsibilities
- Record Keeping & Reporting
- o Maintain accident investigation files;
- o Organize injuries and illnesses;
- o File incident reports to company headquarters;
- o Log OSHA recordable injuries and illnesses;
- o Organize contractor injuries and illnesses;
- o Safety procedure updates and revisions in INOSA;
o OSHA reporting and record keeping (i.e. 300’s)
o Monitor action plans and close when completed.
