What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at PLFGH?
Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or seniors
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and dosage instructions
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with patients
- Transport patients to appointments, outings, or errands as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or seniors is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and practices
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
