What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction - Crew Leader position at PLH Exclusives?
Experience: Need to have at least 5 years experience in but not limited to most areas of construction industry: woodworking, framing, painting, staining, siding, trim/millwork, chainsaw operation. Past log home construction is beneficial. Emphasis will be on the specialized sector of this business, i.e.. New construction, restorations, maintenance. Experience running lifts, skid steers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment as well as ability to instruct other crew members on safe operations. Competent in basic computer skills and the Contractor Foreman system.
Full Time position
Requirements: Some Travel expected. Schedule flexible. Must be able to lift 50lbs over head throughout 8hr shift/40 hour week. Climb ladders to reach two story work. Comfortable and balanced on scaffolding/planks. Work in all types of weather. Can retain information, follow and give directions in a safe but productive manner and well as assist crew leader in specialized tasks. Friendly competition encouraged. Animosity, jealousy, rude behavior not tolerated. Drivers license and transportation required. Personal vehicle usage may be compensated. Must have and take care of own basic construction hand tools as well as respect specialty tools provided. Experience running lifts, skid steers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment is beneficial. Cleanliness and organization is a must. Must be able to coordinate crew for designated projects. Create a safe productive and uplifting work environment. Can inspect new work for production of project estimates. Complete projects correctly and efficiently with daily progress reports and information inputs to Contractor Foreman. Respectful, informative, and expectational conversations with homeowners and ability to display morals and values of the company is a must. Crew leader is responsible for implementing or properly delegating processes to ensure work area and truck/trailer are safe and clean/picked up/organized throughout stages of completion. Pay correlates to efficiency of running the crew, productive results for company, take initiative to learn more, innovation and creativity, dependability, and ability to produce other crew leaders.
