Summary:
Responsible for ink mixing and color matching of lithographic and silk screen inks. Serves as a liaison to sales teams and customers to ensure printed products meets brand and design requirements.
Essential Job Functions:

Duties:
- Ink mixing, estimation of ink quantity for production, proper labeling of ink containers, proper storage and waste disposal within OSHA guidelines.
- Cleaning and organizing ink room.
- Maintaining ink inventories and working with ink companies.
- Ink stock monitoring and re-order requests.
- Handle and mix inks and chemicals used in lithographic and silk screen printing.
Administrative tasks:
- Maintaining ink formulas and records.
- Having ink retains that are labeled and dated for future ink mixing.
- Color drawdowns for customers on time in a final production form.
- Lamination, post lamination or non-lamination on the correct substrate.
- Generate and Maintain customer archives.
- Documentation for future production on job tickets.
- Inventory Control monitoring for reorder points of consumables
Qualifications:
1 year experience with the following, preferred:
- Draw Downs
- Color matching
- Ink Dispensing
- Densitometer Readings/Measurements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced mathematical skills with ink formulas
- Clear vision, correct color perception and mathematical skills.
- Effective communication and relationship building skills with sales team, customers and press team
- Knowledge of ink making equipment.
- Basic level MS Excel proficiency
- Self-motivated
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
