What are the responsibilities and job description for the Offset Press Feeder position at PLI Cards?
Summary: This opportunity is located in our Asheville, NC location.
Primary responsibilities for the printing press helper are to provide assistance to the press operators in the daily operations of the large and small format offset printing presses.? Duties include the stocking of material; setting up and loading the presses; making ready the presses for operation; cleaning up presses, printing plates and work areas and monitoring the level of ink during press runs according to job specifications.? Other duties include assisting in routine machine maintenance, and troubleshooting machine malfunctions.?

Prepare and stock work area for start of shift, which include necessary materials and paperwork
Assist in the set-up and make ready of the printing presses to print on plastics or other material ensuring correct print registration and color
Load the printing presses according to job specifications
Add inks according to ink specifications matching ink color to the color key and/or sample provided in job jacket
Assist in routine press maintenance and troubleshooting in the event of press malfunctions.
Complete all necessary paperwork
Clean presses, plates, work areas between jobs and at end of shift
Clean and stock work area in preparation for next workday or shift
Safely perform physical demands as indicated below
Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel
Work overtime as needed to meet customers’ needs
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a printing environment preferred
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Basic math and reading skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented
