We are looking for an Assistant Shop Supervisor who will assist the Shop Supervisor with planning, assigning, scheduling and directing the work of Guest Experience Associates, Retail while also staying informed of merchandise assortment in the shops and staying up-to-date on product information in order to answer customers’ questions and “tell the story” behind our many unique selections.
Fall is a wonderful time at Plimoth Patuxet as we celebrate the harvest season! This is a seasonal position. The 2025 Season begins in March of 2025, and is scheduled to end for the season on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop employees
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and ensure products are displayed attractively
- Handle cash register operations and oversee cash handling procedures
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor
- Train and develop team members on company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with staff to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in supervising and leading a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and staff
- Knowledge of retail store operations is a plus
