Showroom Receptionist / Customer Care
Reports To: Showroom Manager
Work Hours: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Branch: Danbury, CT
Position Purpose:
To be the first point of contact for the showroom customer. Responsible for managing each customers showroom experience upon entry and departure. Ensure an optimized showroom experience for the customer, one that is both engaging and efficient.
Essential Functions:
- Welcome customers as they enter the showroom and direct them to the appropriate party
- Promptly and professionally answer showroom directed calls
- Communicate effectively in person as well as email, phone, etc.
- Keep track of each customer in Excel log
- Manage rotation of customers for each salesperson
- Schedule appointments
- Guide customers around the showroom
- Ask questions and respond appropriately to determine the customers showroom needs
- Provide exceptional customer service on a daily ongoing basis
- Encourage customers to utilize our website
- Order, manage, and put away all manufacturers literature.
- Possess people skills
- Adhere to Showroom dress code
- Additional duties as assigned

Maintaining showroom by:
- Arrange showroom decor as needed
- Clean and dust showroom fixtures if needed
- Keep product materials and brochures stocked and ready for customers
Experience, Education & Skills:
- Receptionist experience preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, furniture / fixtures, interior design preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; verbally and written
- High School diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
