Corporate Receptionist
Reports To: VP- Director of Administration
Work Hours: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Branch(s): Meriden, CT
Position Purpose:
Effectively handle Corporate office Receptionist duties; promptly answering incoming phone calls on the company main phone line in a courteous manner. Intake and disburse incoming daily mail and package deliveries to the Corporate office. Handle various administrative functions as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Promptly answer all incoming calls to Corporate Office in a courteous and professional manner
- Correctly route/direct the incoming calls to the appropriate phone extensions based on the caller information gathered. May need to ask appropriate questions to further determine what is needed by the callers.
- Neat, clean and professional appearance required to be the greeter for all visitors at the front desk of the Corporate office
- Maintain daily call logs
- Greet incoming visitors and promptly notify the employee/area they came to visit
- Accurately intake and disburse package deliveries and daily mail in a timely manner
- Handle general clerical or administrative duties as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe and professional work environment
- Additional duties as requested
Qualifications
Experience, Education & Skills:
- Six months to one year receptionist experience preferred.
- Experience using current hardware and software including Microsoft Office.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Involves sitting most of the time, with walking and standing occasionally.
