Pliny Crane is a drag-and-drop media and marketing department for businesses, providing full-service brand management and creative services. We focus on long-term partnerships with our clients, handling their branding, media, and marketing needs in-house to save them the time and resources required to build out their own teams. As we expand our media production team, we’re excited to bring on another talented Videography Specialist to support our monthly content subscription service and media management offerings.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced and personable Videography Specialist to join our growing team. This role primarily involves creating short-form video content for commercial clients across multiple industries, with occasional long-form projects as needed. As a member of our production team, you'll work closely with photographers, graphic designers, social media managers, account managers, and digital marketers. Most work takes place during standard business hours (9-5, Monday through Friday).

Key Responsibilities

• Content Planning: Collaborate with the creative team to plan and ideate video concepts, including shot lists and key messaging, to align with client goals and branding.
• Video Production: Film engaging video content for social media and digital marketing, focusing on reels and short-form vertical content, with occasional long-form projects as needed.
• On-Site Filming: Film on-site at client businesses primarily throughout Nashville, capturing footage that authentically reflects each brand's personality and values.
• Studio Shoots: Occasionally work in a studio or on a dedicated set for product video shoots as needed.
• Editing & Post Production: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos optimized for social media platforms and other digital channels.
• Team Coordination: Coordinate with team members to ensure timely project delivery and quality content.
• Client Alignment: Work closely with Account Managers who will handle most client communication, ensuring alignment on vision and content requirements.

Qualifications

• Videography Experience: Proven experience in commercial videography, ideally with product, marketing, and B2C content.
• Camera & Equipment: Proficiency with Sony camera equipment or similar DSLR and mirrorless technologies.
• Adobe Proficiency: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro; experience in After Effects is a bonus.
• Lighting & Audio: Solid foundation of lighting, gaffing, and audio principles.
• Creative Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skill, visual storytelling, and the ability to produce videos with strong viewer appeal.
• Client Skills: Interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to help clients' creative visions come to life.
• Independent & Team-Oriented: Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Organized & Timely: Highly organized and detail-oriented with solid time management skills.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Primarily Monday–Friday during business hours, with flexibility for rare evening or weekend work as needed and only with advance notice.
• Primarily on-site visits within the Nashville area to capture client content in their business environments.

Compensation & Benefits

• Flexible pay structure: Hourly with a minimum of 20 hours per week or salaried (32–40 hours per week).
• Eligible for revenue-sharing incentives based on client acquisition (if the employee brings in clients).
• Travel Reimbursement (primarily around Nashville).
