Overview
The Group Sales Manager (GSM) plays a vital leadership role at the forefront of driving revenue growth and developing high-performing sales talent. This player/coach position oversees the performance, productivity, and professional development of both Account Executives (AEs) and Account Executive Trainees (AETs). As GSM, you will lead the team’s day-to-day sales activities, build a small “book of business” yourself, and execute strategies that ensure consistent revenue generation and strong client partnerships.

- Lead, manage, and develop a team of AEs and AETs to achieve a best-in-class sales force
- Drive daily sales activity, lead performance reviews, and monitor individual productivity
- Develop and manage your own small book of business as a player/coach
- Coach and mentor AETs to accelerate ramp-up time and increase revenue impact
- Distribute and manage inbound and outbound sales leads for maximum effectiveness
- Maintain high service levels and ensure an exceptional client experience
- Facilitate onboarding of new customers and support smooth implementation
- Proactively resolve service issues and support ongoing sales operations
- Support and grow key accounts through strategic planning and engagement
- Train team on the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to client retention
- Perform additional duties as assigned or needed based on business priorities

- 2 years of leadership experience in a sales environment, preferably in logistics or transportation
- Strong track record of individual sales success and ability to lead by example
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field preferred
