Lead Dentist & Clinical Director - West Hartford, CT

Plum Dental is seeking an experienced and confident dental professional to join our team as the Lead Dentist for our busy West Hartford practice, while also serving as the Clinical Director for our Connecticut practices. This unique role offers a rewarding combination of hands-on patient care and leadership within our growing dental organization.
In this dual role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality general dentistry in our well-established, family-oriented practice with 15 operatories; utilizing cutting-edge digital clinical and practice management technology; and working with a skilled and experienced clinical and support team dedicated to patient care. As the Clinical Director, you will serve as a member of Plum Dental's Clinical Board, contributing to clinical decision-making and strategic initiatives; collaborate with Plum's Dental Director to support provider development and clinical excellence across our Connecticut practices; and mentor and guide fellow clinicians to enhance their skills and career growth. This role with require 4 days of clinical practice along with 1 day of administrative and mentoring work.
The practice is insurance-based and fee-for-service (no Medicaid) and has over 4,500 existing patients with many new patients added every month. The new dentist position is to support the growth of the practice and to help take over for the founder dentist who will be reducing days and ultimately transitioning to retirement in the next couple of years. You will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with the founder dentist as well as with the other associates who are very supportive of bringing a new dentist onto the clinical team. The practice is part of a small, dentist-owned group called Plum Dental.
Compensation/Benefits/Partnership
This position offers a minimum guaranteed annual compensation of $300,000, starting with a daily guarantee that transitions to a collections-based model. Additionally, there is a $50,000 annual stipend for administrative responsibilities associated with the role.
After just two years, there is potential for equity ownership/partnership in the practice and group. The group provides comprehensive benefits, including malpractice insurance coverage, a robust CE and mentorship program, and health, disability, and retirement benefits.
