We are seeking a General Manager – Food Service to lead the operations of one of our bar and food bars at Eppley Airport. This role is crucial in ensuring a high-quality dining experience for travelers while maintaining smooth, efficient, and compliant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee daily operations of the bar and food bar, ensuring excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Lead, train, and develop staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate ordering to optimize cost control and minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, alcohol service, and airport regulations.
Handle customer inquiries and service issues promptly and professionally.
Work collaboratively to enhance menu offerings and promotions based on traveler preferences and market trends.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for guests and employees.
Track sales and performance metrics, implementing strategies to meet business goals.
Minimum Qualifications :
Must be at least 21 years old.
Previous food and / or bar service management experience.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Understanding of food and beverage regulations, health codes, and airport compliance.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a thorough background check to obtain a Post-Security Badge.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certification in food safety and alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS).
Experience working in an airport or high-traffic hospitality environment.
Proficiency in inventory management and ordering systems.
Knowledge of cocktail preparation and current beverage trends.
