Operations Manager
Plum Projects LLC was founded in 2010 with origins derived from backgrounds in arts, fabrication and building in the field of construction. This diverse assortment of backgrounds has developed and shaped the company into who we are today and allows each one of our employees to be a contributing and essential team member to our company’s structure. We promote and practice a highly collaborative culture in which the build, design and fabrication teams collaborate to elevate the design of every project execute.
Plum Projects is comprised of 3 departments: design, construction, and woodshop/fabrication. Each of the three areas of Plum can be contracted individually, or collectively dependent on a project’s needs.
Job Summary
This position will oversee and manage Operations within the company: administrative, HR, and work in partnership with the accounting team. This position will work with current, and further develop, internal systems of operations. Balancing daily operations with the planning, problem solving, and working with the management team in the decision making processes of a growing firm, are equally balanced parts of the role.
Responsibilities:
HR – Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, counseling, and disciplining
Oversee payroll and employee benefits
Lead and promote the health of the work environment within the firm
Administrative – Insurance, licensing, general administrative oversight
Oversee work flows within and between departments, R&D tracking, systems of accountability
Work with accounting team to manage annual operations and overhead budget
Participate in marketing, planning, oversight of execution
Required Skills:
Ability to speak and represent Plum publicly
Skill in written communications
Maintain confidentiality
Prioritize work to meet scheduled deadlines
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
Software experience – Smartsheet, Excel, Google Suite, Slack
Preferred experience in Sage 100
Education and experience
Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
4 - 7 years experience
Construction industry experience preferred
Compensation:
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience - $75,000 – 105,000
Paid vacation, Discretionary and 7 paid holidays
