Job Title: Line Cook/Prep Cook

Reports to: Executive Chef

Position Type: Full Time

Job Summary:

Living Wage of $17/hr. More with skill and experience.

Regular raises with effort and proven commitment.

Plum is a new restaurant in Downtown Durham, located at 501 Washington St. We are looking for a full time line cook: hours will be 2PM until 10:00; Thursday-Monday.

Experience and skill would be great but are not mandatory. Being committed and willing to join a team, learn new skills and approach work with a positive attitude are highly desirable to us.

Our goal at Plum is to provide an excellent working environment and standard of living, while serving our guests food that we are proud of. All positions are GUARANTEED $15/hr. Line cooks will be paid more matching their skill and committment. We also provide family meal and paid time to eat before service. If you have dietaries we will respect them to insure everyone is fed and ready for the shift.t

Our guest-facing menu is filled with Southern inspired deliciousness, including house butchered fish, shrimp and grits and various meats and poultry with thoughtful sides. We make almost everything from scratch including charcuterie, vinegars, pickles and jam. We pick up produce from the Durham Farmers market each Saturday, where local farms, producers and craftsmen bring their best products. We care about this community and are always looking for products and people that are passionate about it, too. Friday: 5:30-9:00 PM

Saturday: 5:30-9:00 PM

Sunday: 5:30-8:30 PM

Monday: 5:30-8:30 PM

We are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
