Nature and Scope
Under the direction of the Director the Childcare Center, the Infant Teacher will be responsible for facilitating the day to day operations of the Infant Program. The Infant Teacher will monitor and ensure safety and program guidelines in their classroom, provide a safe, happy, and positive environment for all children, plan and implement all activities appropriate for children ages 0-18 months, complete DRDP assessments as needed, and communicate with parents daily.

Compensation
Compensation Philosophy:
- We have 6 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 6 years of relevant experience
Compensation Range:
- $19.28 - $24.61 / hour

Full-time.
Qualifications
Education:
- Three (3) completed core semester units of early childhood education/development and 3 completed semester units of infant care
- Enrolled in a least two (2) semester units at a college until fully qualified or possess a teaching credential.
Experience:
- Six (6)months experience with children under age of 5 years..
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Title 22 Regulations
- Planning and implementing curriculum for children ages 0-18 months
- Current principles and practices of early childhood education in a play-based, family centered program
- Current classroom supervision requirements for staff and volunteers
- Family inclusion and education
Other Requirements:
- DOJ and FBI Fingerprint Clearance. 8 hours of Preventative Health and Safety Training within 3 months of hire.
Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum
Responsibilities
- Coordinates all aspects of the Infant Classroom, which includes ensuring compliance with Community Care Licensing, Title 22 Regulations, and all requirements pertaining to health, safety standards and emergency procedures of the site
- Supervises and provides feedback to teacher aides and classroom volunteers
- Participates in professional growth activities throughout the year, both self-initiated and Director initiated
- Researches, creates and implements age appropriate principles, practices, and curriculum for children ages 0-18 months
- Completes daily lesson plans, and updates lessons depending on specific goals for children in their care
