Local 16 plumbers learn the craft in a nationally recognized apprenticeship program, ranked among the best in the nation by The Department of Labor.
Apprenticeship Opportunities
Apprentices receive on-the-job training during the day and attend comprehensive classes at night. For five years these apprentices learn the newest techniques, and the value of swift, careful craftsmanship, as well as proper methods of combining plumbing and architecture.
A total of 1,200 hours of classroom study, as well as up to 10,000 hours of on-the-job, must be completed before graduation. Surpassing Omaha's licensing requirements by one year, members of Local 16 are the best trained plumbers in the area.
