Plumbers Local Union 68 is a proud member of the United Association, dedicated to providing quality plumbing services and top-tier training to its members. In the Houston area, we are presently looking for a Journeyman Plumber with experience and skill to join our union. The position will pay $39.98 per hour plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures, for water distribution and waste disposal.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and building specifications.
  • Ensure plumbing systems comply with local plumbing codes.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on job sites.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues, offering effective solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices and junior plumbers.
  • Keep work area clean and organized, following all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  • Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and on time.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a licensed Journeyman Plumber with experience in the plumbing field.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
