What you are empowered to accomplish:
Plummer is looking for an individual with strong business and analytics skills to support operational initiatives including implementation of strategic goals and process optimization. In this role, you will support our operations team in collecting and analyzing data, creating reports, and collaborating with other departments to streamline business processes.

Relationship building is paramount to Plummer’s success, and our team will provide you with guidance and mentorship. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Operations and have the opportunity to play a key role in improving and optimizing operations performance within a purpose-driven consulting engineering company.
Our Ideal Teammate:
Our ideal teammate will have 3-5 years' experience in business operations management, preferably in the consulting or professional service industries. You should have a desire to learn about the business of engineering consulting, strong analytics skills, and have a passion for improving processes and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
The Operations Support Analyst will support the operations team in all aspects of operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Data collection and analysis: gather data from various sources related to project delivery, operational metrics, and other operational sources to identify trends and patterns.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies: work with the operations team to identify areas of improvement for operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement solutions: propose solutions to address operational issues and improve performance. Collaborate with different departments to design and implement new processes to streamline operations.
- Performance monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of science in business administration, operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, economics, or related field. A Master’s degree is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Experience using Power BI, SQL, and other data analysis tools is preferred. Experience using ChatGPT, CoPilot or other AI tools to improve efficiency and/or create tools is also preferred.
- Strong business acumen; ability to understand and learn consulting engineering business operations, financial metrics, and industry trends.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to build consensus across multiple departments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate findings and present recommendations to stakeholders.
- Organizational and management skills: ability to manage tasks or projects from initiation to completion.
