Plunge is the leading cold plunge company, offering innovative health and wellness solutions, including saunas and cold plunges. As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting our financial operations.
Position Overview :
The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting for our operations. This individual must have experience managing in-house teams and remote overseas accounting support. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience with NetSuite and must be able to assist with complex accounting operations, particularly related to inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience in manufacturing and e-commerce environments. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely for candidates located on the West Coast, with quarterly in-office visits.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage majority of the aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a proactive and efficient manner
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements
- Manage inventory accounting with accuracy, including cost tracking, valuation, and reporting
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to improve inventory control, streamline accounting processes, and optimize financial reporting
- Support external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Manage both in-house accounting staff and remote overseas accounting support
- Oversee the processing and teams for accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, fixed assets and prepaids
- Process monthly transactions for revenue recognition, payroll, sales tax
