Position : Legal Assistant – Floater
Location : Bloomfield Hills, MI
Plunkett Cooney is seeking a full-time support assistant in our Bloomfield Hills office location. This experienced legal secretary will provide support to attorney offices and will cover assistant vacations and leaves of absence. This position will not only provide support for the Bloomfield office but may remotely provide support to our other regional office locations.
To be considered, you must :
- Have a strong litigation background with five to seven years of experience
- Have experience in appellate, corporate, 1st and 3rd party, and estate planning are a plus
- Be proficient in legal document preparation, file management, typing / word processing, telephone coverage, scheduling, and billing
- Have experience with electronic court filing and electronic docketing software
- Have experience in legal document preparation, file maintenance, scheduling and billing, filing, and dictation
- Be familiar with federal, state, and local court rules
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and document management software
- Have strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, produce high quality documents with short deadlines.
Plunkett Cooney is looking for someone who is dependable, flexible, and wants to learn and grow with the firm.
This position is hybrid and requires in-office support 2-3 days per week. Remote work is subject to performance and training after a 90-day waiting period.
