What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Assistant position at Plunkett's Pest Control?
This position will be supporting internal Field Staff through a variety of different avenues including maintenance, shipping and receiving, and transporting Company vehicles.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Clean, repair, and maintain various pest control equipment.
- Assist in shipping, receiving and inventory control
- Prepare large material orders for the field staff
- Operate forklift to move product as needed
- Perform light building maintenance
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in a safe manner by adhering to OSHA, state requirements, and Plunkett's policies and procedures.- Participate fully in training opportunities to enhance knowledge and to meet requirements for safety standards.
- Project a friendly, pleasant, courteous, and professional image when dealing with internal and external clients.
- Adapt quickly to change and work under tight deadlines.
- Effectively organize work and complete it on a timely basis.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (BASED ON ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES)
Must be able to continuously perform tasks such as, but not limited to, those listed below:
Lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. Extensive bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching overhead, climbing ladder.- Perform tasks which require foot and/or hand-eye coordination such as driving a vehicle (manual shift), operation of power tools and equipment, driving forklift, operating pallet jack, 2-wheel dolly, etc.
- Able to use computer-based applications such as e-mail.
- Stand and/or sit for prolonged periods while performing essential functions of the position.
- Walk, stand, twist and squat e.g., receive and ship supplies, repair equipment, building and grounds maintenance.
- Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record
ENVIRONMENT
The Warehouse/Stockroom Assistant works indoors in a climate-controlled environment approximately 70 percent of the time. May experience extreme temperatures due to seasonal conditions.
Warehouse/Stockroom Assistant may also be exposed to oil; cleaning chemicals, pesticides, lubricants; dust while working in warehouse area; loud noises e.g. power tools; electrical and mechanical hazards.
WORKING HOURS
Generally Monday through Friday. May be required to work weekends and overtime as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
? High school diploma or equivalent
? Must possess a valid driver's license; acceptable driving record
? Must be at least 21 years of age
? Must be able to work in a team environment and develop positive relationships with co-workers
? Must be able to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
? Experience with tools and electrical a plus
