What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Representative/Loan Processor (Bilingual-Spanish) position at PLUS CREDIT UNION?
Plus Credit Union is looking for a driven individual who is full of energy, motivated and ready to take the business to the next level! The ideal candidate must possess strong closing skills! This person will process loans for member as well as cross-tell all products and services! The ideal candidate will implement credit union sales and marketing strategies to build credit union community relationships and generate membership growth and income. Other duties include:
- Member Service
- Represents the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner. Adheres to concepts and expectations as outlined in the SERVICE philosophy.
- Responsible for a minimum cross-sell standard such as loan growth with related insurance product penetration, lines of credit growth, Financial Services referrals, savings and checking account growth.
- Provide in-person or by telephone general and specific service-related information concerning credit union policies and services.
- Respond to member's requests, problems and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.
- Open new accounts and service existing accounts. Set up new account files and provide member with all necessary information for membership.
- Promote credit union products and services based on members needs
- Interviews member and receives loan application on consumer loans.
- Processes loan application on computer system verifying that application meets all credit union policies.
- Forwards loan application request to loan officers for decision and obtain all supporting loan documentation as requested for loan policy and/or loan officer.
- Prepare loan documents, verifying accuracy and consistency of documents and compile closed loan forms for Quality Control.
- Research accounts for deposits, withdrawals and loan payment discrepancies.
- Assist members in opening Individual Retirement Accounts.
- Responsible for completing Currency Transaction Reports, monitoring for and reporting suspicious activity, and completing annual training related to the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Other duties may be assigned.
