Inventory Specialist (immediate hire)

The Inventory Specialist is efficient and effective in the storage, movement and issuance of product and materials. Duties and responsibilities include proper receiving, storing, picking/packing, shipping, and counting as well as performing various related warehouse activities. This position is a direct report to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately

· Picking/Packer

· Shipping

· Ensure accuracy of inventory records

· Develop and improve existing procedures and policies

· Inspect products for defects and damages

· Keep warehouse clean and well organized

· Developing loss mitigation processes and protocols

· Understand and abide by all company safety regulations

· Forecasting future inventory requirements

Skills required:

• Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment - forklift experience a plus
• Exceptional math and observation skills
• Must possess basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools
• Trustworthy, reliable, dependable, trainable, with an ability to work both independently and in a team
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• At least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area

· High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

This position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis: reaching, standing, walking, lifting, and bending. Ability to lift 50 – 100 pounds, with or without accommodations.

Work in various types of industrial environments.

Regular Work Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with a 30 minute (unpaid) lunch break
