As a Vehicle Operations Specialist at Plus, you will play a key role in operations testing missions of all types, reporting through troubleshooting issues and issue escalation processes, collaborating closely with engineering teams through various forums, traveling to different parts of the US and the world, and developing your personal strengths through Operations-focused projects. You’ll contribute to the operations team in impactful ways and be a part of an innovative team.
\n- Properly set up and execute complex missions.
- Provide consistent feedback about test results at an articulate level on all in-house applications and at times, in the field.
- Provide objective detail-oriented mission debriefs to the engineering teams by following debrief feedback classification and testing processes.
- Effectively and efficiently communicate troubleshooting and issue escalation processes through a support system with a strong understanding of appropriate testing parameters.
- Correctly follow existing and newly implemented operational processes to detail.
- Proactive communication with engineering teams on assigned missions.
- Independently operate our vehicles and various systems on both closed-course and public roads in different states, countries, and continents.
- Navigate public interactions during testing.
- Previous experience with structured AV testing, development, release, and production testing mission types in the right seat role.
- Comfortable with Linux system usage at an autonomous testing operational level.
- Ability to travel for projects approximately 25% of the time during a calendar year.
- Comfort with organizational tools like Slack, Confluence, Google Docs, Google Slides, etc.
- Responsible driver with a clean driving history.
- At least 5 years’ experience of driving on US roads.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with autonomous testing in both the right and left seat roles.
- Basic knowledge of JAMA.
- Basic understanding of how to triage issues for various types of AV testing.
