As an Athletic Trainer, you will work closely with coaches, parents, and school staff to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes. You will provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services, empowering athletes to perform at their best while prioritizing their well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site athletic training coverage for practices, games, and events.
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs tailored to individual athletes and teams.
- Assess, treat, and rehabilitate sports-related injuries.
- Collaborate with physicians, coaches, and parents to create individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of injuries, treatments, and progress.
- Educate student-athletes on proper training techniques, nutrition, and overall health.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
- Current Michigan state licensure or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Passion for working with young athletes in an educational setting.
