Job Summary
The Food Service Associate serves meals to residents in a restaurant-style atmosphere, ensuring efficient service while making an appetizing food presentation. This role requires flexibility as assigned stations and duties before, during, and after meal service.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to tables for restaurant-style service, handling all service ware correctly.
- Accurately provide information about the meal presented, including offering suggestions and/or answering questions upon request.
- Observe diners to fulfill any additional requests and perceive when meal has been completed by staying in assigned area and circulating throughout the dining room.
- Remove dishes both during and after the meal efficiently, ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Wash and set up tables according to rules of etiquette, including clean linen, silverware, and glassware.
- Restock supplies as needed prior to next meal service.
- Cross-train in hosting and serving to improve skills and become a better-rounded employee.
- Complete all side work before, during, and after meal service efficiently.
