We're hiring a Bistro Server for 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. shifts with alternating weekends and offering a comprehensive benefit packet.
Job Summary:
The Server serves meals to Plymouth Place residents in a restaurant-style atmosphere, striving for efficiency while providing attentive food presentation.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Serve food and beverages to tables efficiently, handling service ware correctly.
- Accurately provide information about the meal, including suggestions and answering questions upon request.
- Observe diners to fulfill additional requests and perceive when the meal has been completed.
- Remove dishes during and after the meal efficiently to meet sanitation standards.
- Wash and set-up tables according to etiquette rules, checking cleanliness of chairs and condiments.
- Restock supplies as needed prior to next meal service.
- Initiate cross-training in hosting and serving to improve skills and become a better-rounded employee.
- Complete side work efficiently before, during, and after meal service.
- Clean and sanitize department storage, refrigeration/freezer, equipment, utensils, waste containers, etc., as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Provide service in an accurate and timely manner.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and interact with residents, families, and employees.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old and have reliable means of transportation.
- Salary: $16-$17 per hour.
