The Claims Technician is the policyholder’s first point of contact after an auto or homeowner loss. They are responsible for reporting accidents that have occurred to the policyholder.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Report accidents policyholders have been involved in by obtaining information over the phone.
- Input accident information into a proprietary system.
- Make decisions on whether or not to re-route a claim or to alert the claim office of a serious injury or major loss.
Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma
- Customer service experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
