Industrial Controls Engineer
We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious team member to join our Engineering team at Plymouth Tube. As an Industrial Controls Engineer, you will have numerous opportunities to engage your innovative and creative problem-solving skills to drive the department forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain control systems for efficient and safe operation of machinery, equipment, and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize control systems and improve operational performance.
Technical Skills:
- Develop and design control systems for industrial processes, machinery, and equipment.
- Develop and implement Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs to control and monitor industrial processes.
- Design and develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Identify and resolve issues related to control systems, including hardware failures, software bugs, and communication problems.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of control system theory, industrial automation, and instrumentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text.
- Experience with HMI and SCADA software, such as Wonderware, Ignition, or FactoryTalk.
